I love working with a variety of students throughout their ceramics journey and focus on tailoring curriculum to each cohort’s interests. I teach handbuilding and sculpture classes year-round.

I teach a variety of wheelthrowing, handbuilding, and metalsmithing classes during the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. For Fall 2025, I’ll be teaching Metalworking as Jewelry and Pottery: Best of Both.

Bring dimension to functional and sculptural wares with bas-relief! Also known as low relief, this workshop will provide examples of the technique, demonstrations on how to approach carving an image in relief, and time to practice on greenware.

Tired of creating templates and carefully measuring your boxes? Make a blob box! Our patient instructors will lead the class through the creation of a variety of closed form box shapes, carving the outside, creating an opening, and refining the lid.
